Girls after adolescence wear bras; a simple fact. What does a bra do? You might think that this is a silly question but most people know what a bra does right? They hold breasts in place!

Here's a brief history about the origin of bras.

Before 1900s, there is very little evidence of garments that could be considered bras. In ancient history, there are mentions of a strip of cloth tied under the breasts to support and to reveal them, or strip of cloth tied around the breasts to flatten them.

The corset became popular starting in the 1500s, and its one function was to lift and shape breasts upward. The modern bra with its two separate cups was gradually developed from the corset in the early 20th century, in an attempt to manufacture a more comfortable underwear piece.

Today in order to emphasize the sexual nature of busts, the bra has been turned into a sexual garment. Since then bras have practically become a multi-billion-dollar industry dominated by large multinational corporations such as Triumph, Victoris's Secret and not forgetting INTIMA.

Over this time the emphasis has largely shifted from functionality to fashion. Now there is more and more emergence of weird innovative bras too.

Some girls just love their busts being touched and perhaps that's the reason why they came up with this type of bra.

Besides that, bras made of solid gold were created too and they cost USD1.89 million each.

Will you buy one if you have the money? Certainly not me. I would rather spend the money on other important stuff. I can't wear it anyway, right? =P

Well, a bra serves two main purposes.

• Support the weak.
• Unite the separated.

Well if you can't get my drift, busts are weak and they're separated. Understand now?

So why girls wear bras? Can't they just go without them? Here are some reasons why girls need bras.

• Busts need support. Especially for big sized busts, you need a bra to support it or else it will sag.
• The illusion of bigger busts size. True, some girls need it to attract guys. Self-motivation it seems?
• Immoral without it. It has been a norm for girls to wear bras. Right here in Malaysia, if a girl is noticed without a bra, she'll be regarded as indecent.

Anyway, have you ever wondered why bras are lettered A, B, C and so on? And how the letters are actually used to define bra sizes and also boob sizes? Here's how.

Well for me, any size after B is BIG! =P But E, F, G and H are rather absurd. They can be also represent as Ewwwww!, Frightening, Gross and Horrendous.

Here are some advices for girls regarding bras and a little about busts too.

• Don't wear a bra 24 hours. Busts are also like a normal skin as they need to respire. Wearing a bra for 24 hours a day causes women to have a higher chance of getting breast cancer compared to wearing it less than 12 hours daily! It was suggested that bras exert enough pressure to the busts to prevent the flow of lymph, which then causes toxins and other waste material to remain in the busts instead of being 'flushed out'. This is one reason why women are prone to breast cancer. Therefore, sleeping without a bra is encouraged.
• Pick a suitable sized bra for your busts. If you have huge busts, don't buy a small bra. Please don't suffocate your innocent busts. One the other hand, if you want to get a bigger bra, it's alright as long as you get to attract guys.
• When you wear your bra in the morning, lean about 45 degrees forward while wearing it. Basically it's to maintain the size of the busts by allowing the fats to come forward? I'm not really sure but I've heard about this a few years back on the radio.
• Massaging won't make them bigger. It's only an enjoyment if you do so. In fact, girl's busts will only be fully developed after their first pregnancy.

Gosh, my initial objective of this post was to write about bras but I ended up talking about busts too. Anyway, they are still related right?

As many would say, bras are soft, delicate and sophisticated garments designed only for women. But it's not only worn by women.
